Quoting Dave Howorth <dave@howorth.org.uk>:
When I click on a mailto link on a web page the compose page opens UNDER other windows. Sometimes I can't see it at all. This is very annoying and different to how the world used to be. But I don't know what has changed, so I'm asking here first to see if anybody has any ideas.
My browser is Firefox 52.1.1 My MUA is Claws Mail 3.13.2 My OS is Leap 42.2
both applications are the standard versions from the openSUSE repositories.
Desktop environment is also relevant.
Sorry, that's LXDE
The thing is, this is typically a desktop issue. If it affects only one app, then interaction of that app with the desktop. On other desktops it can be configured. I'm not too familiar with LXDE, so I do not know how to do it.
Thanks, Carlos. I don't know much about desktops, nor how they are involved. Neither Firefox nor Claws Mail belong to any particular desktop as far as I know, and I've no idea which of the two, if any, are responsible for my problem.
As I said, this used to work and I have changed no relevant settings to my knowledge, so it seems it must be a regression. I just have no idea how to set about finding its cause so I can report it and hopefully get it fixed.
It would be in desktop settings, then something like focus steal prevention, deactivate. But I don't know where exactly it would be or the exact name. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)
