I have a number of repositories set up, and have successfully updated on this installation for the past 2 months, both from the updater applet and from Yast2.
To launch the whole process I click the 'Online Update' button in the Yast2 Control Center window.
As I indicated in another branch of this thread, by disabling the 'tumbleweed:raw' repository this problem goes away, so for the moment I'll just do that (I'll be updating the whole distro next week anyway).
However, clearly a problem with one repository should not produce such unhelpful and confusing output. While this is not a serious issue for me right now, the problem is repeatable on my system if I re-enable the troublesome repository. I'm more than willing to collect any information that would be helpful if someone wants to try and understand wtf happened. Just let me know.
Hi Tony, According to <http://en.opensuse.org/Tumbleweed> Tumbleweed /= openSUSE 11.3 Tumbleweed is essentially a 'fork' of openSUSE 11.3 where packages maintenance has taken a new trajectory. It says "You can test the Tumbleweed repository and give a feedback, share experience and report issues to the openSUSE Factory mailing list. If direct access to the list fails, please subscribe using this link <opensuse-factory+subscribe@opensuse.org>. It would probably be more productive to report the issues you're experiencing there. hth, have fun & regards, Carl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
