Well, not really, but it might help if you post your SuSE version, Kernel version, and 'mount' version. Suse Linux 7.3 Kernel 2.219 mount version 2.11i
Well, I'm no expert on mounting SMB shares, but... A quick web trawl suggested that there were some problems with some kernels mounting SMB shares, and that some kernel versions required that the minor version number of mount =6 (not >6). e.g. http://www.uwsg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/9803.1/0476.html I'm unsure whether you should be using smbmount or mount. Someone else on this list is almost certainly more expert than me. Sorry I can't be of more help. You might find more luck searching Google for your error message, or perhaps changing to smbmount as described in the SMB-HOWTO might be helpful. -- David Smith Tel: +44 (0)1454 462380 (direct) STMicroelectronics Fax: +44 (0)1454 617910 1000 Aztec West TINA (ST only): (065) 2380 Almondsbury Home: 01454 616963 BRISTOL Mobile: 07932 642724 BS32 4SQ Work Email: Dave.Smith@st.com Home Email: David.Smith@ds-electronics.co.uk
