I tried to install nvidia legacy driver. I downloaded legacy (96.43.14) from nvidia website, then installed as usual. After restart X crashes during start. All logs are under links (nopaste site).
Then I found in google, that "nopat" option added to kernel boot line might help. And it helped, X starts fine. What this option does?
I don't know. It is not documented: cer@nimrodel:~> grep -i nopat -r /usr/src/linux/Documentation/* cer@nimrodel:~>
And why was necessary to add it to kernel line? Is it possible to fix suse kernel to make installing nvidia-legacy driver (even from repo) easily & smooth?

You might consider opening a novell bugzilla, too. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkst9xgACgkQtTMYHG2NR9XZBQCffHVBv6NowULtirU/OVjy8tRT WVIAn0xj5C55AlFQFIvIcwkcG56UDrrZ =F4ur -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
