There's only so much we can do to protect you from yourself.
Maybe manually set red backgrounds on each window that is not local. Maybe never get root on those ssh boxen, and always rely on sudo and make sure each has a different root password.
The color thing might be a trick. Not red, perhaps dark blue. Not sudo, because the plain user can also hibernate, without using sudo.
