I thought it would, and I do have a .gimprc on my accounts, but when I type gimp... nothing happens. I also checked my install-cd and could not find the package listing. does it only come with the full thing? I have been a cheap bastard mainly because I am still dithering on which distro to stick with. I'll keep looking... From yr comment about compiling it, I assume this simply means I will need to compile the source rather than use the rpm's, which are prolly intended for rh boxes. I can handle that, though I am still puzzled by the lack of the package on my SuSE cd.. Anyway, I'll just press my luck with the source.
It's on the 5.1 cd, but I have the 1.0.0 and gtk 1.0.4 . Compiling is really a non-issue, and if you haven't compiled, well, to quote Michael Lankton, "you need to learn." It's as simple as going in as root, doing the instructions for gtk (essentially, decompress, configure, make and make install) and the same for gimp. it should really be a breeze. The executable is in /usr/local/bin and just be sure to delete the .gimp directory out of your personal directory. -- Aaron Seelye <A HREF="http://revolution.3-cities.com/~roberto</A">http://revolution.3-cities.com/~roberto</A> - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
