Oh, I see. So a patch to pine makes pine "patched" even if a new patch comes out. Odd, but an oversight, I'm sure. The problem, then, is that I cannot scan the whole list to see if anything is checked, because there will be many checked.

You can: instead of a "patched" checkmark, you see a "to be updated" green "twisty" arrow. And it's sorted to the top of the list too, so you can see it immediatly :-) Ciao, Rob!
