I use gnome-terminals to read my email with mutt. One of the advantages of gnome-terminals is that it is aware of URLs, so you can click on a URL with the left mouse button while holding down CONTROL and it will open the URL in your favourite browser. This all worked in SuSE 9.0 with Gnome 2.2, but in 9.1 and Gnome 2.4 it only works if the URL has http:// at the front of it. e.g. pressing Cntrl + Left mouse over http://www.google.com works, but over www.google.com doesn't. It gived the error:
Could not open the address "www.google.com": The specified location is invalid.
Anyone any idea how to fix this? There is no obvious file association to change in GNOME Control Center.
Also, can KDE konsole's be made URL aware?
