Hi Kevin et al... Ok, I've got it working! The key is to first take out the "local" and then put the files in the same dir as your database. For me that is "var/lib/mysql/WartHog". I had to change the permissions on var to do this. So I'm not totally happy with this, but I can live with it. Now on to the next problem!
