It is not installable. Runs xfce. The idea is that the selection of tools is better for rescuing. dd_rescue, photorec, mc, parted, yast. No email/nntp application. A small web browser of the mozilla family. Chat client. No Libre Office. I have not tried to see if persistent mode is available.
