My systems need to write something every minute. They're generally monitoring various sensors.
I've just ordered some new SD cards, 16Gb Sandisk, about 8francs apiece. I would not mind paying double or triple that, if I could be certain I'd be getting longer-lived, more reliable cards.
I did have the same problem with this SanDisk micro-SD card. The system does not see the card at all. It has been in use for at least one year in a Tumbleweed ARM system as the main storage system. It has a five year guarantee, so my supplier will replace the card. I only lost half a day of collected data; backup was once a day, is now once per hour. -- fr.gr. member openSUSE Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
