Help running CS server, runs fine under redhat

I upgraded a game server (hardware/os, etc) and I can't get CS (Counter Strike) to work on it, but it works on the old. There are no error messages on the server side, just no one can connect to it, with the message of: "could not connect to game server \n reason:could not complete connection attempt". Old system Was Redhat 6.0, new system is SuSE 8.0. The program runs, shows up in lan/internet games, and shows that the game is happining (rounds ending, chancing maps, etc) But no one can connect to it.
