I would love to add all that, but I have exactly 2 Mbyte left on a 700 Mbye iso. Or maybe one on here can help me figure out how to save more space. Maybe I should not include OpenOffice?
Any ideas are appreciated.
Are you supplying both KOffice and OOo? One of them will do. Usually OOo has more features, I think. And how about the localization thing? Are you trying to provide language packs for everybody? Maybe you can select just a few. Hey, did you include the Tamil language pack for KDE? If you did not, you need not include the Romanian language pack for OOo either. (I've nothing against Romanians - just an example. I'm Tamil.) IMHO en, fr, de, es and it would be more than enough, what? Almost all Indian users of Linux certainly know en - a totally Indian version of Linux, at least one of the big Linuxes like SuSE or RH I have not seen yet. Also, in case you want to provide support for other languages too, maybe the Jigdo idea that was discussed sometime back on this list might work? You can allow people to download using the jigdo file for that particular language which will automatically load all those language packs only. Saves a lot of space, if I've understood the jigdo concept right. -- (o- Penguin #395953 lives at http://samvit.org //\ subsisting on ancient Indian wisdom ... V_/_ and modern computing efficiency! :)
