I can't seem to get any of the Screen Savers to start in Gnome, though they are all working in KDE... or are they only for KDE? They are in the Gnome menu:system Screen Savers.
[I'm guessing you're on SuSE 9.0, with the default SuSE GNOME setup]
If my assumption is correct, then no, those screensavers won't work, because they are indeed K screensavers. GNOME currently uses the uber-screensaver, XScreensaver by jwz.
To utilise it, right click on a panel, select Add to Panel > Button > Lock
Then, if you right click on that button, and select Properties you can configure which one to use.
Of course, you'll want to have a YOU updated system (or fou4s, apt...) to have the version of XScreensaver that doesn't seg fault on password authentication. -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 9.0).
