Now, any idea on how small I can get a copy of SuSE on a PC ? Or is there any folks working ona thin version of SuSE linux ?
I wouldn't have thought there would be anyone within SuSE working on an 'official' thin version, but I can say that I'm running on a *relatively* thin version of SuSE. This is for my server box and does, DNS, mail, DHCP, NTP, diald, firewalling, printing, etc. and fits in about 150MB. That's without making any effort to cut away excess baggage like 15MB of locale files, 5MB of timezone files, 4MB of vim files, etc., etc. If I really made an effort it could be significantly reduced (especially by throwing away the printing stuff). I have another SuSE installation running in about 80MB, but I don't have access to that box just now.
