Python apps don't like tkstep, so IF you are using tkstep that's your problem. Kevin Collins wrote:
Greetings-
SuSE 5.2
Has anyone had trouble running xrpm? I'm getting an error that python is not configured for tk. I do have both installed. Here's the message:
(none):/usr/bin # xrpm Traceback (innermost last): File "/usr/lib/xrpm/xrpm.py", line 35, in ? import findrpm File "/usr/lib/xrpm/findrpm.py", line 30, in ? from Tkinter import * File "/usr/lib/python1.5/lib-tk/Tkinter.py", line 5, in ? import _tkinter # If this fails your Python is not configured for Tk ImportError: File not found
I've checked the SuSE db, but the picking's were slim; and there does not seem to be a mail archive search; if I am wrong, please enlighten me. I hate asking questions because I know they just about have all been asked and I'm pretty good at sniffing the answers out. (FWIW- I am a former RedHat user and the searchable mail archives were awesome. Sadly, RH 5.0 was not! :-\ )
TIA-
Kevin
