Most tenacious settings for smpppd and pppoe

      What are the most tenacious settings for smpppd and pppoe?

I have a home server that I want up 24/7
If the pppoe internet connection drops out I want it to re-connect.
If that fails I want it to keep trying.

Waiting a minute or 5 between tries is no problem,
 but I want it to keep trying forever.

key files are:
	/etc/ppp/options
	/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-dsl0
	/etc/sysconfig/network/providers/provider0
