I tried this, and it failed because a fatal signal was delivered. Hmmph. Apparently my NetworkManager is suddenly broken.
The exact output you got here would be interesting. For example, I get this on a working *15.0* machine with NetworkManager ● NetworkManager.service - Network Manager Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/NetworkManager.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled) Drop-In: /usr/lib/systemd/system/NetworkManager.service.d └─NetworkManager-ovs.conf Active: active (running) since Sat 2019-02-09 03:57:47 CET; 1 weeks 0 days ago Docs: man:NetworkManager(8) Main PID: 1598 (NetworkManager) Tasks: 4 (limit: 4915) CGroup: /system.slice/NetworkManager.service ├─ 1598 /usr/sbin/NetworkManager --no-daemon └─16854 /sbin/dhclient -d -q -sf /usr/lib/nm-dhcp-helper -pf /var/run/dhclient-wlan1.pid -lf /var/lib/NetworkManager/dhclient-...-wlan1.lease -cf /var/lib/NetworkManager/dhclient-wlan1.conf w> Feb 16 13:27:43 Legolas.valinor NetworkManager[1598]: <info> [1550320063.3260] manager: NetworkManager state is now CONNECTED_SITE Feb 16 13:27:43 Legolas.valinor NetworkManager[1598]: <info> [1550320063.3262] policy: set 'En un lugar...' From there I tried systemctl status and it apparently did activate, giving me a PID in a process tree, but that PID is no longer running. I also ran journalctl -xe and got tons of output including a complaint about the lock file for a recently-deceased printer and something about a DBus error because of no reply related to my audio card ... I think. I didn't notice anything about NetworkManager, though. But it doesn't appear to be running and ifconfig still shows me no IP on wlan0 and no RJ45 instance at all.
% BTW: if I am not mistaken you are going to find a file called /etc/netconfig. % Please let me know if that file is present. Thank you.
It is, indeed. My devices are all jus dashes, though.
