Hi,
I have been trying to bring up X11 on my Laptop (Compaq 1525US) with:
Graphics card: ATI Radeon 7500 (LW) Flat Panel : 1400x1050 (Hannstar HSD150PK12-A from Yast)
SaX2 cannot run, as it requires graphics (I just get a messed up screen). I have tried specifying -l, but that doesn't wrrk either. I have spent a lot of time trying different parameters in /etc/X11/XF86Config, but to no avail. Has anyone with this type of hardware got the graphics to work?
Thanks, Ron
I've had some luck playing with the flags on sax2, specifically `-a' and `-l'. I use the former to get a "base" xorg.conf file, which I can modify by hand. As a last resort, don't forget about good ol' xf86config, which doesn't need any GUI to setup X.

I have used 'xorgconfig' which is text-based. HTH. -- ..."Yogi" CH Namast Yoga Studio
