Thanks for the advice given.
Not sure about Linux compatibility. Does anybody have or know one of these?
And then I ended up with an Acer Aspire 5920 as it was priced as the Acer Aspier 5520. Installation went very smooth. Only problem that I had to google for was wifi. Seems it requores a program called ipw3945d. When I started that program, it could connect to my wifi net with 54 mbps. Two things remain though. I have to use ifup instead of rcnetwork if I want to use wifi. Seems that it simply won't accept an IP-address from the dhcp server. And I'm not sure that the graphics adapter is installed correctly. I get
glxgears 5572 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1114.370 FPS 5759 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1151.681 FPS 5861 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1172.012 FPS
Not too impressive on that hardware, or should I be satisfied with that? -- Med venlig hilsen Kaare Rasmussen, Jasonic Jasonic Telefon: +45 3816 2582 Nordre Fasanvej 12 2000 Frederiksberg Email: kaare@jasonic.dk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
