I messed up the description above. I meant to say that the screen that pops up, just after the logon screen disappears with the KDE loading inits window in the middle. That screen is all of a sudden the yellow color I mentioned above. Sorry for the confusion.

The various files you see on the screen are located in /opt/kde2/share/apps/ksplash/pics PCHintz
