Hi,
I'm trying to play DVDs with vlc. My understanding is that the libdvdcss library needs to be installed for this to work.
Could someone suggest the best repo to add for the purpose of installing libdvdcss? And also the `zypper` command to do so? I want to make sure adding an additional repo doesn't end up creating issues in conjunction with other repos. The repos I have installed at this point are:
Education download.opensuse.org-non-oss download.opensuse.org-oss download.opensuse.org-tumbleweed home_HEBH packman repo-openh264 repo-oss server_mail
Thanks for any help,
John
if you are not familar with zypper commands, why not use yast? yast2 -> software-repositories -> add -> specify URL -> next -> repository name: libdvdcss repository (or what ever you like to name it) i use this repo, working fine for me: URL https://opensuse-guide.org/repo/openSUSE_Tumbleweed/ if you are new on opensuse see also there https://opensuse-guide.org for tips (point 11 software-repositories shows examples how to add repo at commandlinie) and, if you have not already done, switch all packages to the packman repository, this will nearly make sure, that all stuff of multimedia codecs + players will work: yast2 -> softwaremanagement -> view -> repositorys -> packman-repository now look for the blue text on top of all shown packages "switch system packages to the versions in this repository" klick on it and accept. done. and a warning, in ancient times ;-)) vedeolan and packman repos did not like each other, if it is still so, i do not know, so better not use together, if you like vlc its also in packman repo. simoN -- www.becherer.de
