Has my SuSE 9.3 an overview option for the subject ?.
Loads. Install the sensors package... configure it with sensors-detect and then take your pick of the packages that use sensors output to show info about your system (or use sensors from the command line). I use SuperKaramba with the Cynapses theme. There are loads of other monitor tools... some show more info than others. Pick the one that suits you and shows the info you are looking for. Sensors will show fan speed and system temp if it's available.
How to determine what sensor is on the mainboard ?
On my A7N8X-E motherboard, ksysguard or ksensors always reports my AMD CPU temperature as 25C. Once when I checked in the BIOS it said 58C. Looks like I have to study /etc/sensors.conf closely, unless someone can provide details. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
