I went to Pricewatch. Found a place called componentsdirect.com. I am still waiting on confirmation of availability as they dont have online ordering, just a request form. The Duron 700 was $11 (US) more expensive than the cheapest I saw on PW, but I figured I would save that in shipping (instead of shipping from 2 different distros). I believe that's correct, it's virtually the same chip in many aspects

No, but it should work as if you configured based on an athlon.
