Opensuse 11.3 After I hybernate and turn on my comp my display turns off (while loading opensuse). I have to reboot to make it work.

Most likely the drivers of your graphics card don't support hibernation. I know that mine (radeon, KMS) and some (most?) nvidia binary drivers don't.

Does this mean that I MUST shut down comp everytime I go to sleep? I have a new NVidia card, bought not so long ago.
The older nvidia binary drivers are available in the nvidia repo now I believe. (Requires adding the nvidia repo and installing as a intentional user action. http://en.opensuse.org/Additional_package_repositories#NVIDIA_drivers If you have a 64-bit kernel, they have the latest nvidia driver available for testing in the build service: Look through the earlier parts of this thread to see where. http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2010-07/msg00481.html If 32-bit, I suspect they'll have it in a day or two. Once they get both packages working they should appear in the nvidia repo. Greg -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
