Hi: I recently installed SuSE 7.0 as a fresh install and then did an update to KDE2 as part of the install. After I updated to KDE2 2.0 I
am unable to access the cdrom and floppy. When ever I try to access the cdrom or floppy I get an error that says unable to mount can not find /Floppy or CDROM in /etc/fstab or /etc/mstab. I have checked the icon properties and they are the same as in the KDE 1.1.2 desktop. They work in that desk top so why not in the new KDE2 desktop. I am including the /etc/fstab and /etc/mtab files for you. /etc/mtab: /dev/hda3 / reiserfs rw 0 0 proc /proc proc rw 0 0 /dev/hda1 /boot ext2 rw 0 0 usbdevfs /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs rw 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts rw 0 0 /etc/fstab: /dev/hda1 /boot ext2 defaults 1 2 /dev/hda2 swap swap defaults 0 2 /dev/hda3 / reiserfs defaults 1 1 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 usbdevfs /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs defaults 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts defaults 0 0 /dev/cdrom /cdrom auto ro,noauto, user, exec 0 0 /dev/fd0 /floppy auto noauto, user 0 0
I hope some one can be of help. Thanks for your help in advance. -- Ralph F.
