I just recently installed SUSE Linux 5.2 on a Dell Latitude Xpi. Everything went fine until I tried to configure the NeoMagic Video Card. I am using XF86Setup to setup X, and the configuration seems to complete OK, but when I try to startx, I get an error message and the system bombs. I am trying to use 740X680 resolution.
The startx will work if I use a 640X480 configuration.
Any suggestions?
ounds like your monitor won't support the 740x680 resolution... you might try using sax to set up x. it's a fair amound better than xf86setup when you can use it.... -derek "Winter's hateful battle raging on, Rocket's flying towards the glowing sun, Pollution fills the land, the air, and sea, Man prepares to meet his destiny...."
