No way the gold will be delayed because of that. That's TOO bad. :(
NO, what would be too bad is openSUSE 11.0 being delayed months because of a few problems with KDE 4.
A "few"?!! Guess again!
The only choice for d'l is with Gnome, which is brain dead IMHO, or KDE 4.0....live CDs that is.
On the contrary, the brain-dead are those on the mailinglist who believe Microsoft is controlling the entire operation of openSUSE.
I have no idea how many have that view....I'm not one of them.
And remember that if kde4 has such big problems, that's mostly the kde people fault, not suse. That is true, but in also DOESN'T have to be the primary KDE for 11.0!! And it isn't. There is no primary desktop. Well, that isn't what those who've done installs have indicated. I am, however, VERY glad to hear that, as 4.0 WILL kill 11.0.
openSUSE hasn't endorsed a specific desktop since 10.0. Just as it has been, you're given the option of KDE or GNOME. I do believe, also, that both KDE 3 and 4 will be offered.
So we're told......the Live CD doesn't give one that choice....UNfortunately. I probably would be best to have a Live CD with KDE 3.5.* and make mention that it is the stable release.
