I'm using kde. Sorry can't help you with gnome since I have never used it, only the apps. I have tied other ways in kde to upgrade opera, yast rpm -Uvh, rpm --nodeps, etc.. Opera's web site says install with --nodeps because libxm.so.2 is only for plugins but that didn't work for me. Try using kde for this? I don't know what the difference between clicking on it and rpm -Uvh is. Still a relative newbie. On Mon, 2003-05-05 at 20:23, Dennis Tuchler wrote:

You don't really need it. Yast will link it to libXm.so.3? when you install it. At least that's what it did for me. But I had to install it by going to the directory it was in an click on it. Then click on the "Install Package with YAST" button. This is how I installed the static version. I do have openmotif installed from 8.2, assuming you're using 8.2. I don't use it that much but it seems to work fine. Good luck!
Thanks for your prompt response!
Are you using Gnome or KDE? I'm using Gnome and have no idea of how to get Yast started with the package.
Thanks

Where can I find libXm.so.2? Id does not appear to be part of the SuSE package I purchased. I need it to load Opera 6.12.
Thanks for your help
