Try posting your card info and what version of xf86 you are using. Many of the new cards ase only supported by the 3.3.3 ver of xfree. I have a diamond stealth agp that does the same and has one of the newer cirrus chips. I have been told that it does work with the newer 3.3.3 ver.

Check out the xfree web sight or the suse web sight and see if your card is on the list.

At 11:57 AM 12/23/1998 +0100, you wrote:
>>>>

Thanks a lot for your support, guys. I used xf86config to set the card up and it went pretty smoothly. Like they say in the manual, it looks kind of ptimitive but it did what it was supposed to do. There is one thing, though. Everything looks gigantic! The resolution is something around 340 X "another low number". I don't get this, I mean I did choose the right resolution settings during setup and "the resolution setting for the severely nearsighted among us" wasn't even an option. Ctrl + Alt + - won't change anything. What went wrong here? Please keep in mind that this is all very new to me.

<<<<

- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/ and the archiv at http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html
