Solved, in kxkb there is an option "include latin layout" which add us layout to the command e.g. setxkbmap -model pc104 -layout neo_de,us removing this and setting setxkbmap -model pc104 -layout neo_de solved the problem. peter Peter Hahn schrieb:
Hello,
I'm using openSUSE 10.3 with KDE 3.5.8.
I'm using the keyboard switcher applet of KDE to switch different keymaps witch is working fine on all my nonKDE/nonQT and KDE/qt3 apps. However I have some apps that are pure QT and use QT4 already.
With these apps I have the problem that all my keybindings default to the system language instead of the current layout. All text input is correct but e.g. ctrl+z/ctrl+y is swapped (is still german - since this is the system default language) when I switch to a US-layout.
I know this could also be a KDE/QT problem but I post it here because I didn't had the chance to test another linux distribution yet and just want to know if someone else could reproduce this, since it could also be a problem with the distribution. Any ideas how to fix this?
To reproduce this simply try to start e.g. a recent version of QT-Designer (mine is 4.3.1) and switch to some non default layout like dvorak or so.
