Hi All, I would like to change the background that Grub uses. I would also like to change the background for the SuSE login screen. I would actually like to reverse them. They seem to me to be backwards. When you boot the machine and Grub shows up, I think the "Welcome" background (at least I assume that is what the other languages are saying) would be more appropriate than the SuSE logo. The logo would be more appropriate at the login screen (at least in my opinion). Anyway, I found where the Grub Logo is at /boot/message, I also found where the file (jpg/png) is at that I would like to use (/opt/kde3/share/wallpapers/SuSE-kdm.jpeg and a png file). However, if I replace "message" (about 63kb) with the png (about 219kb) file it says it is too big. If I replace it with the JPG (about 43kb) it tells me it is the wrong format. What is the correct format? How do I convert this to the proper format? Also, Where is the background for the login screen stored? I believe it is KDE's login screen. How would I go about changing it? Thanks Russ
