SITUATION: I been trying to run YaST Online Update (YOU) from the text version of yast2. I've tried both the automatic method and the manual method. Both were from ftp.suse.com. First it was running out of space so I am now mounting /tmp on a NFS file system with 5 gig.
PROBLEM: Now YOU just returns to a command prompt where I have to do "stty sane" to bring sanity to my tty session.
HARDWARE: I am running this on a pentium 100MHz box.
Any suggestions on where I can go from here?
1)rather then ftp.suse.com if suitable for your area try a mirror site 2) download the rpm's and manualy install them ie rpm -Uhv xxx.rpm 3) create a mirror of the ftp locally and apply from there hth -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx
