[opensuse] Python error running gramps

I installed gramps and tried running it and it dies with: 660: WARNING: Spell.py: line 67: Spelling checker is not installed WARNING: pyexiv2 module not loaded. Image metadata functionality will not be available. 1865: ERROR: gramps.py: line 142: Unhandled exception ImportError: could not import gobject (could not find _PyGObject_API object) Fatal Python error: can't initialise module gobject I've installed python-extras and python-gobject to no avail. I googled and it seems every question never had an answer, and all bugs were just marked as dupes but I could never find a resolution. -- Michael S.
