OSS is a set of sound drivers that are useful if your card is not supported by the kernel drivers. There is a feature-limited free version of oss and a commercial release. Chris Parman wrote:
Hi Dee,
I also have a Creative labs AWE-64 sound card (not the Gold model). What is this 'OSS' , is it a SuSE utility package ? and where can I obtain this 'OSS'. Also, what are the pit-falls in using this 'OSS' to configure AWE-64 sound card. Thank you for you help in advance.
Regards,
-Chris
