Just want to confirm the same behaviour on thinkpad T21. It worked fine without the need of restart in 9.3.

Looks like a bug to me.

This is SUSE 10.0 OSS - the boxed version should be at my doorstep tomorrow.

I am using download version too. Wonder if boxed version is different in this respect. -Kastus
