I know of several organizations dumping MS for Linux, and once done, it will

Microsoft is not going to go away. It is foolish to believe otherwise. What will happen, with some luck, is that the market will get out from under their jackboot and people will see there are alternatives, and start to use them. This 'total cost of ownership" concept that I believe M'soft invented is one any competent "salesman" could demolish in favour of Open Source with some research. The cost of paying good technicians won't change, the cost of the spiralling strangehold of software licenses can change. It's going to take a while.. Cliff
