If you have wifi connection for SSID and this SSID is visible in scan, NetworkManager will by default attempt to connect to it. Nothing special needs to be done.
This does appear to be working, after I set up the connection once with nm-applet. But how does Network Manager store the password? Can I make this connection shared among all users so it comes up, ideally, even before GUI login?
In the configuration you specify that this connection is a system one, or that other users may use it, or similar wording. From then on, it will ask for root's password to change it.
Is it possible to configure such situations to accept instead the password of any qualified user, in the same way as one can with sudo? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
