So, I'm supposed to subscribe to a news feed, just to find out when the latest version has been released?
Yes, and drown in the river of promotional drivel for a year ahead of time.
Its been clear for some time that opensuse would like to see this list die .
I don't believe that it is openSUSE that would like to see the list die. the users have made monumental efforts toward that end, and with your help. what is the saying about results obtained using vinegar or honey?
I would hate to see this list disappear. I have been accused of making stupid mistakes, and am probably guilty of same, but never on purpose. There are at least two groups that use the list, engineers and computer scientists. I feel some leeway for another background might be helpful. What are the efforts to making the list die that you refer to. Is it attitude, or something more sinister?

there is a "specific" topic for posts here. you should know what tha is. it is readily available and something that should be read before posting anything here.
the developers no longer participate here. or most of them.
I looked at the web page and it claims that the opensuse list is for "Generic questions and User to User support for all the openSUSE distributions". Would you clarify what the "specific" topic refers to. If the topic is just the subject, I realize that posing this question has nothing to do with availability of Leap 15 and may be off topic. But I was unaware of any threat to the list, so when I saw the suggestion in this thread that "opensuse would like to see this list die" I wanted to clarify the situation.
No offense intended. Don
Here is maybe some clarification from the board as we did discuss this last week. https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-project/2018-05/msg00019.html -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B
