Two things, John: have you allowed "Allow vendor change"; and have you tried using the VERSION option for each entry and select the one you want (but first deleting the "wrong" one from, say, the old KDE:Extra)?
I haven't made ANY selections to force one or the other at this point, because I have conflicting information about how to make such a choice. That is what I am asking here; Why did the older (no longer existent) repositories have packages with later version numbers than the NEWER Current repository. I know how to force a change, but no information as to whether to do so.
Also, (three and four :-) ), what does zypper show, and what priority settings do you have for the repos in YaST - is the new KDE:Current given priority over the old repos?
I don't use Zypper. I leave that to yast. All repositories are the same priority, and adjusting priorities, or allowing vendor changes wouldn't help, because these do not over-ride a version number difference (unless I force the change). I don't want to force the change. I shouldn't have to. I suspect the packages in KDE Current are actually OLDER than we are lead to believe they are, and perhaps some changes may have been lost, since the newer repository has older packages. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
