Maybe that's it. Where is "preferences/file browsing/file associations"?
Preferences is right in the KMenu (well, at least on my standard installation).

Appreciate the answer, but you're running 8.1 and I'm running 8.2. :o) There is no "preferences" on the KMenu in 8.2. Anybody running 8.2 who knows where to edit the "application preference order"? Thx. Gil
