On 2 different 11.4 installs, I selected HP Device Manager for printing. I set up the same network printer. This first box would not print, but the second box would. In any case, when I try to manage a que, or change a printer setting, HP Dev Mgr puts up an error message saying to add user to "lp' group. I did that, and then I said to add user to "sys" group. Now I can manage the printer. But, what are these groups, and is there any security concern having my normal users added to these groups?
