Dear Tim,
Remember to have the same IP address for your Linux and Windows boxes.
example Linux 192.168.1.1 Windows 192.168.1.2
This way they will be on the same domain and will be able to talk to each other with no problems. In fact I have Win95 and WFWGroups3.11(had to add IP/TCP) all talking to the Linux box. Also try installing the Apache server stright out of the box, fire up your favorite web browser under windows and direct it at the Linux box. You might also try installing FTP, and then use your Win browser to FTP files from your Linux Box.
I know this was not what you asked about, but I was eager to share my fun with soemone.
Okay, so with two W95 desktops and a W95 laptop I would have (for example): Linux 192.168.1.1 W95#1 192.168.1.2 W95#2 192.168.1.3 W95Laptop 192.168.1.4 Right? -= Tim Hanson =- Exotic Wesseaddle - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
