I am running SuSE 6.0 with netscape communicator 4.5. I have plugins in the /opt/netscape/plugins directory and have set MOZILLA_HOME to /opt/netscape. However when I start up netscape, I get unable to find file /opt/netscape/plugins/xxxxxxx.so (whatever the plugin lib is). Yet the file is in that directory. Anyone have any ideas? -
I learned alot by setting up the RealPlayer5.0. In it's docs, there is an html doc called "plugins.htm". The trick it seems is to create a $HOME/.netscape/plugins directory and put the stuff in there, and create symbolic links to other locations if need be. Also you must have your helper applications set up for things to be handled by the plugin. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
