I have installed a linux box running SuSEFirewall to give Windows users internet access. I have made my own script which runs after SuSEfirewall which modifies the ipchain input rules it makes to REJECT all ip input packets for my various user subnets and then explicitly ACCEPTs ip input packet for specific IP addresses only. This works to allow internet access for certain PC's only but is a bit of a pain to manage. I would also like a monitoring utility that provides summaries of traffic by IP address, type (eg web, mail etc), and destination (eg hostname). Any ideas? David
