Can anyone give me some help with getting a USB smartmedia reader working on SuSE 7.3?
Mine is compact flash, not smart media, but this works for me:
modprobe usb-storage mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /camera (or whatever mount point you want)
Well this is what I get when I do that.
mount: /dev/sda1: unknown device
Well it depends on what device it shows up. I use a PCMCIA adapter in my laptop and the card becomes /dev/hdc1. Not sure wether it all will be seen as scsi. To figure out, I'd look around in the /proc file system for clues, /proc/ide and /proc/scsi as the obvious.
