Sigh. Changing the reply-to field is a bad idea, that's why this list doesn't do it anymore. There are simply better ways to take care of this, one of them being a mailer that has a list-reply function, or proper use of mail-followup-to.
Well quite. Netscape doesn't seem to do this, but in other respects is the only usable mail client I've come across for Linux - which isn't saying much, and is quite a shock.
Well, you didn't mention Mutt, so I'll refer you to <A HREF="http://www.mutt.org/</A">http://www.mutt.org/</A> As long as to you console based != always hard to use you may like what you find. I'm by no means a console-only person but I still use Mutt for mail because it simply has more features than the other mailers I've seen and is really easy to learn and use. (I do personally prefer a console mailer so I don't have to be somewhere I can run x to get my mail, but anyway...) It makes processing large volumes of list mail and other mail pretty much painless.
Well, I looked at Mutt before, but I really do want an X-based one. What I *also* want is for whatever I use to use the normal unix mail folders - Netscape with IMAP might do it but I haven't set that up yet, then, as you say, I can use a console system remotely - and for such occasions PINE will suffice. (More commonly I'd choose to set my X or other client to point IMAP at my mail folders if possible...) -- Rachel Greenham Epinet Communications plc - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>
