Yes, I had the DVD in the drive. But this thing becomes more and more weird. I updated KDE 3.3.2 to 3.4 in the meantime. After this I tried to add DVD to the installation sources again and it gave a different message that says:
There is no product information available at the given location. If you expected to address a product, return back and enter the correct location. To make rpm packages located at the specified location available in the packages selection, continue.
Clicking on continue resulted in addition the following line in the sources window: (status name url) on dvd://// dvd:///
(4 slashes) (3 slashes) This is strange since this is a 9.2 install dvd and it worked for me on other systems and also can be used to boot this system. IG
Did you remove the original DVD source by mistake or is this an additional new drive? If you already have a DVD entry there is no need to add it again. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 * Only reply to the list please* "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge
