Hello world! I have a odd problem; Whenever i insert or remove a sd memory card in my cardreader, xmms stops. Not just pauses and continues, but just stops. CPU load flies up to 100% as the system finds and mounts the card, and then xmms just stops. Same if i remove the card. System: Minimal graphical SuSE 9.2 install. apt installed kde, and a few other things. fstab: (amont the rest of the mounts) usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0 /var/log/messages: when inserting the cardreader: kernel: usb 1-1.1: new full speed USB device using address 4 kernel: usb 1-1.1: Product: USB Storage kernel: Initializing USB Mass Storage driver... kernel: scsi0 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices kernel: Vendor: Generic Model: STORAGE DEVICE Rev: 0100 kernel: Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02 kernel: Attached scsi removable disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 kernel: Attached scsi generic sg0 at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0, type 0 kernel: USB Mass Storage device found at 4 kernel: usbcore: registered new driver usb-storage kernel: USB Mass Storage support registered. /var/log/messages: when inserting the sd-card: /etc/dev.d/block/51-subfs.dev[4211]: umount block device /block/sda/sda1 kernel: SCSI device sda: 59776 512-byte hdwr sectors (31 MB) kernel: sda: Write Protect is off kernel: sda: Mode Sense: 02 00 00 00 kernel: sda: assuming drive cache: write through kernel: SCSI device sda: 59776 512-byte hdwr sectors (31 MB) kernel: sda: Write Protect is off kernel: sda: Mode Sense: 02 00 00 00 kernel: sda: assuming drive cache: write through kernel: sda: sda1 /etc/dev.d/block/50-hwscan.dev[4587]: new block device /block/sda/sda1 /etc/dev.d/block/51-subfs.dev[4597]: mount block device /block/sda/sda1 /etc/dev.d/block/51-subfs.dev[4597]: mount disk/by-path/usb-0x05e3-0x0705:0:0:0p1 Where shall i start too look? /Rikard
