Hi,
With sadness this is coming from the kids games machine. I have messed up.
I changed config to not start the nscd at boot. Now machine hangs when trying to start the httpd. When I fire up the rescue system I find I cannot mount /. As mount /dev/hda4 /mnt results in messages about having the wrong major or minor number. Attempting to boot installed system also results in hanging at the starts httpd stage.
Help!
Where do I go from here?
RTFM: Tell mount which filesystem is used: mount -t reiserfs /dev/hda4 /mnt Thorsten -- Thorsten Kukuk http://www.suse.de/~kukuk/ kukuk@suse.de SuSE GmbH Schanzaeckerstr. 10 90443 Nuernberg Linux is like a Vorlon.
